Since I have arrived in Nigeria, once of the constants I have discovered is regular power outages. The power system is overwhelmed. Everyone has a generator (and lots of flashlights), but that doesn't help when you're in the middle of something.
So I must practicing putting my thoughts and experiences down in short succinct sentences before..oops!
And the funny thing is....when I was in Ghana, after several months of this I learned that, no it doesn't just go off but somebody pulls the switch for "whatever" reason...go figure...Gurl just keep your laptop battery charged, and write a book while you're there. You can write with a pen and a candle and that will keep your mind off of the fact that you want to turn the light on! LOL
ReplyDelete@ Barbara..ooo.. pulling the switch is not nice, but that may be what happens here, too. Unfortunately my laptop battery kicked the bucket long before I came to Nigeria. Since I didn't replace it, I'm fully dependant on the "Power On!" cycle. I have composition books so writing by flashlight sounds like a plan! Thanks for looking in. Hope to catch you on Skype sometime.
